The Doctoral Studies Program of the Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in accordance with the provisions of Laws 4957/2022 and 5094/2024, with the aim of promoting scientific research and creating highly specialized scientists.

The organization of the Program is based on the principles of excellence and academic freedom, and is supervised by the Departmental Assembly. Its operation is governed by the Doctoral Studies Regulations, which define the processes for candidate selection, the obligations of doctoral students, and the requirements for the award of the doctoral degree.

The Program offers the opportunity to undertake a doctoral dissertation in a wide range of academic fields, contributing to the advancement of science and technology, as well as addressing contemporary scientific and societal challenges.
