- Collaborate with their supervisor and the members of the Three-Member Advisory Committee to support the progress of their doctoral dissertation.
- Submit a detailed written progress report on their dissertation and present their progress orally before the Three-Member Advisory Committee. Failure to submit a progress report is considered equivalent to a negative recommendation. A copy of the report, along with comments from the supervisor or the Three-Member Advisory Committee and the progress evaluations, is filed in the candidate's individual record after being forwarded, via the Department’s Secretariat, to the Departmental Assembly. Additionally, the Departmental Assembly may organize seminars once a year for the presentation of doctoral dissertation progress.
- Provide auxiliary teaching services according to the needs of the Department’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as instructed by their supervisor. They are also required to assist with administrative tasks within the Department, such as invigilation during exams. Details regarding the duties of doctoral candidates, including any potential remuneration or other benefits, are outlined in the applicable Regulations of the University’s Doctoral Program and are subject to the relevant provisions and decisions in force.
