For Doctoral candidates, the minimum duration for obtaining the Doctoral Degree is three (3) full calendar years from the date of the appointment of the Advisory Committee.
The maximum duration for completing the doctoral dissertation is set at six (6) full calendar years from the date of the appointment of the Advisory Committee.
This period may be extended for an additional two (2) years, upon a well-supported recommendation from the Advisory Committee, following a request from the candidate, and approval by the Departmental Assembly.
The doctoral candidate may request a suspension of studies for a maximum total duration of two (2) years, accompanied by a sufficiently justified recommendation from the Advisory Committee and approved by the Departmental Assembly. During the suspension period, the candidate's doctoral status and associated rights are suspended. The suspension time is not included in the maximum duration for completing the doctoral dissertation.
